Since the topic of Hawaiian/Aloha shirts seems to come up quite a bit here I figured I might as well get a thread going about it. I have been wearing this style of shirt for YEARS, well before I started packing heat. Let's hear from all of the other deranged, er, I mean fun-loving Hawaiian-shirt folks out there! Here's something I hear quite a bit...."When is the last time you saw a guy wearing a Hawaiian shirt having a bad time?"
Wearing this one today. I have at least 30 shirts of this style, probably only 20 fit right now, but I'm working on that!

I used to love to wear the Hawaiian shirts but now that I'm married my wife has barred me from wearing Hawaiian shirts anywhere we go together in public. Its "embarrassing" she says.

Once I see a guy in a Hawaiian shirt, I immediately know he is.... not married.
Wives usually are the fashion police and tend keep us at least a little more coordinated. However, I am sure there are married guys out there that can pull off the flowered shirt and make it look good; just not me.

I wear one from time to time with shorts if I am dressing up in the Summer!

If I'm not dressing up, then it's just an over sized "T".
If people don't like the look of them on me, then they can look the other way. I don't care.

If they want to look, point, laugh, I don't care either.....might even do a little "wiggle" for 'em!
They are colorful, loose fitting (read: COOL) and are just the thing for hot summer days in Texas.
I traded my Wife for Guns, a German Shepherd and Independence long ago!
I am at least a better dresser than my late Brother. He used to wear a "T" and pajama bottoms in public!

My wife just does not understand this point! Loose = Cool!
At least I've managed to get her to let me wear my Birkenstocks (Hey, I AM from California originally).

LOL - my wife actually picks out the majority of my Hawaiian/Aloha shirts and she makes sure the shirts and shorts look good together. BTW - celebrated our 8th Anniversary a few months ago. I wear one of these shirts EVERY day, even for business, then I break out the "dressy" ones and pair it with dress slacks (unfortunately I do have to wear a business suit a few weeks throughout the year, then I retire my shirts, until after 5!

).

The first time around,,, I traded the wife
Because of my "toy collection", 4 Dogs, a horse, jeep, and a Need to get away from the "City". (kept the critters, but had to sell most of my guns.)
Once I was in the woods,, what should I find? The best friend of a lifetime, who happens to now be my beautiful wife. Not only does she find proper "cover" shirts (none of them have Flowers!), but packs a .45 that she can drive tacks with.

I'm a very lucky guy!

So what does it mean that my style conscious wife picks out Hawaiian shirts for me?

Admittedly, she might as well be Hawaiian herself...

OK, well maybe I was wrong on that Hawaiian shirt assumption, but if you see a guy wearing a Star Wars t-shirt, then....
OK, I'll quit stereotyping now.

Very nice shirt! A bit dark for this hot weather but I guess necessary for matching up with your dress pants later in the day.

I agree...but yeah, wore it to go with the dress pants. I drive a convertible too...had it down this morning, it will be up with the A/C on HIGH later today, that's for sure!

I wear my silk ones for really "dressy occasions" (evenings) but stick with my cotton ones for semi-dressy tooling around!
Yea, it's HOT! My electric bill for the last 40+ days will be the price of a new 1911!
