This happened LAST WEEK. Had this been a relative of Bush that was a LEGAL resident it would have been ALL over the news as soon as it happened
President Barack Obama's uncle was stopped on suspicion of drunken driving, told police he planned to arrange bail through the White House.
Police said that after being booked at the police station, Obama was asked whether he wanted to make a telephone call to arrange for bail.
"I think I will call the White House," he stated, according to a police report filed in Framingham District Court.
Obama failed several sobriety tests and blew a reading of 0.14 percent on a blood-alcohol breath test, which is above the state's legal driving limit of 0.08 percent.
Police said Obama, who's originally from Kenya and is the half-brother of the president's late father, pleaded not guilty Friday and was being held without bail on a detainer from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In a court document, ICE said he had an earlier deportation or removal order.
His immigration status couldn't immediately be confirmed, but such orders are generally reserved for people living in the country illegally.
He wanted to call the White House to post his bail! Are you serious?
The president's administration announced this month that it would allow many illegal immigrants facing deportation the chance to stay in the U.S. and apply for work permits and would focus on removing convicted criminals and people who might be national security or public safety threats.
The above makes so much more sense now. It appears it is the only way he can get his family here legally
He confirmed that Obama is the half-brother of the president's father and the brother of another relative, the president's aunt Zeituni Onyango, of Boston.
Onyango made headlines last year when she won the right to stay in the United States after an earlier deportation order. She came to the U.S. from Kenya in 2000 and was denied asylum by an immigration judge in 2004.
She stayed in the country illegally and was granted asylum last year by a judge who found she could be a target in Kenya not only for those who oppose the U.S. and the president but also for members of the Kenyan government.
It is now more obvious than ever that if your name is Obama or you are related you do NOT have to follow the laws and do NOT have to obey judges

Get him outta here. He had a deportation order and he sure sounds like a public safety threat to me.

Hey everyone has at least one crazy relative. I think it is very, very wrong for all of you to judge. It takes the focus off the fact that Obama is an unqualified socialist that is spending money like a drunken sailor.

That's an insult to drunken sailors everywhere! Most drunken sailors live within their means.

Being an ex-drunken sailor I take exception to the comparison.
Spending money like a drunken politician is more like it.

My apologies to all former/reformed/not reformed/trying to quit drunken sailors. I withdraw my prior comparison. At least a drunken sailor can only spend money he actually has.
I guess it is actually more like "spending money like a drunken sailor who goes back to the ship, takes everyone on the ships money, spends that, then goes out and takes out a loan, then goes back homes and prints some money out on his computer- then blames another sailor when asked about it."
