Just got my e-mail today saying I'm in the October 17-21 instructor class. I was hoping with my NRA certs and other instructor experience to take the short course, but I'd rather not wait until next year, and who can't use more instructor training anyway :)

Anybody else scheduled for the class?

I found a Value Place weekly rate hotel in Round Rock that would be $200 for the whole week with two beds or $250 for two beds. Does anybody want to split the 2-bed room?

Scheduled for the same week... I haven't worked out my plans yet but will let you know...

If you're into Mountain Biking, there is a killer trail around the Georgetown lake. Load up your bike and it will let you burn up some calories.

Since I was on a very tight budget when I took my class back in April, riding that trail was a nice way to "relax" after sitting on my can all day. It's about 20 miles long total so I never had time to run the entire thing. I just went out for an hour or so and turned around. It's a cruncher in both directions.
