This is BAD. Pray for rain. This hits close to home too. I can smell the smoke while typing this.
Hopefully the highway will act as a barrier from homes (including mine).

Given the tinderbox dry conditions all over Texas, TPW should seriously consider delaying, if not cancelling, all hunting seasons until a LOT of rain and cold weather decends on the Lone Star state.

As much as I hate to say it, I agree...
This fire is very scary because it's surrounded by major population... major.
There are some natural barriers, but if any cinder carries and ignites a house or a tree in a neighborhood nearby... look out.

I wouldn't count on a highway stopping a fire if wind kicks up.
They say ash is falling on the other side of I-10 ...

2 USACE park fires today; perhaps they should pay the bill for "their" land they don't let us visit without being disarmed, (Perry being pressured to use Rainy Day fund)
