The local news has this article regarding the Lubbock County Sheriff's Department new armored vehicle:

If that does not work go to

Pretty impressive as a bug out vehicle. But, will it withstand a EMP burst? The next generation will probably have a SAW turret on the top.
Hopefully this video will stay up for a few days.

I couldn't get a good look. Any idea what the two cylindrical units on the driver's front fender are? Flame thrower, grenade launcher, water jets, photon cannon?

To me they look like battering rams.

I'm not sure what model the Lubbock folks have, but the above link is to the Athens, Texas area LEO's.
Their armored car was a Lenco Bearcat 3. There are pix of the vehicle after it took about 35 rounds from
a killer using an AK-47.
The killer had murdered the son of former governor Clements, who had bought up most of the land in the
area. His 1,000 areas of land was near the killer's land. The killer had been offered $50,000 for his 5 acres,
but did not want to sell.
Mr. Clements' killer was killed by LEO's with one sniper shot.

The vehicle, a Lenco BearCat G3, had only 500
miles on it at the time and was a controversial
purchase in the community prior to the
incident. Some accused the department of
spending too much on “something that will
never get used,” according to Tyler PD SWAT
Commander Rusty Jacks.
He says there is no doubt the vehicle saved lives that day.
“It allowed officers to approach the residence safely and protected them under heavy fire from a very high-powered
rifle,” he said.
Better to have it and need it than to not have it and need it!
