Not sure how it's enforceable as it's on city streets. Not sure if the sign meets the legal definition, will try to take a pic on the way out.

I'm sure they, as well as the police chief really believe it's enforceable. There are many out there that hold that opinion, including the attorneys at DPS. It just depends on who they asked.C-dub wrote:We all have heard from TAM regarding the GVPD Chief. I guess they are really going to do or at least try this. I wonder if the organizers really know that they cannot do this or if they've had input from the PD?
I went both days and was waved thru upon showing the officer my CHL. Matter of fact the 4 people with me were let thru as well without being wanded.Teamless wrote:its just like Galveston using security to prohibit people carrying during Mardi Gras, which is also on public streets
Not all CHL's were given that same respect, but I am glad you wererm9792 wrote:Matter of fact the 4 people with me were let thru as well without being wanded.
I'm taking the wife and kids tomorrow. We live within walking distance but it would be a hike to have to go back home. I'm at a loss to see how they think they can post when the state fair can't.PUCKER wrote:Didn't take a pic but I gave it a decent review on the way out, it appears to be a correct sign. Cops were all over, I wasn't about to ask/debate it with any of them, but I thought about sending the wife.
No you don't, just say NO and don't go.olafpfj wrote:I'm taking the wife and kids tomorrow. We live within walking distance but it would be a hike to have to go back home. Have to take the family either way so I guess I'll have to suck it up and deal.
I think the state fair would say that they can, but they choose not to. I believe they did post it one year and backed down after the number of complaints they received.olafpfj wrote:I'm taking the wife and kids tomorrow.
