Cheaper than Dirt has police (actually French prison) S&W Model 10-8 tradeins for $179.95 plus tax. Worn but servicable. I bought one for a glovebox gun.

At their store at loop 820 at I35W north.
Unfortubately they sold out.
They also had CZ52s for $139, those also went away.
They have in-store, unadvertised sales pretty regularly.
A few months back they had Yugo SKSs, new in cosmoline, for $99.
Wish I'd bought several.

CTD doesn't sell firearms through their catalog. Guess that's why you guys weren't aware. But, since I live close,

they are one of my favorite placs to buy firearms, magazines, ammo, and etc. (Lots of etc stuff there!) Good prices and generally good service.
I say "generally" cause I am a bit peeved at them lately. Used to be, if they didn't have something in the showroom, but they had it in the catalog, you just placed a catalog order in the store. Meaning, you walked over to the catalog counter, placed your order, and they brought it out! They don't do that anymore. Now, you have to wait and pay for shipping.
But, other than that, they are great!
changed?

I think something may have changed with them.
At first the store and the web store were connected.
Then they weren't.
And now I understand they are again.
So how recent is your experience with them not ordering something?
Or maybe that's part of whatever they worked out to re-associate with the online store?

Rex - last time I was in the store was back in the summer. I wanted a particular set of TruGlo sites for a Glock. They had them on the website, but not in the store. And they were not taking catalog orders in the store at that time. If that has changed again, then I am delighted. Like I said, probably have not been in the store in about 6 months.

Pretty sure this change happened in the Fall. I had a similar situation last summer, needed an item that showed in-stock at the website, but was not available at the store.
But all I know about it is just what I overheard one employee tell another custoemr. It hasn't affected anything I needed yet.
Come to think of it, when I was checking out dec 24 at the store, the register gal was talking to a lady behind me, who apparently was a former employee at the warehouse, which I took to mean the online store. They chatted about it like it was a remote location with a number of employees.
Next time in there I'll ask some questions.
