"FastandFuriousGate" Did I just miss it?

It would seem to me this might be the number one issue for gun owners in the US. Let me see if I have it right:

1. POTUS needs to placate his looney liberal gun banning friends, thus hatches illegal scheme - ultimately aimed at disarming law-abiding Americans

2. POTUS instructs minion AG to secretly order bone-headed ATF supervisors to allow guns to be supplied to Mexican drug cartels via illegal buyers and forced FFL cooperation

3. POTUS enlists help of the Mexican President (who should have known the stupid scheme would backfire) to decry all the "illegal" guns entering Mexico from the US

4. Guns flow to Mexico under the watchful eyes (?) of the ATF

5. POTUS cries "foul" at all the unscrupulous Americans who would smuggle illegal weapons and dirty FFL's for selling them to straw buyers - ergo we should "restrict" sales of assault weapons at gunshops along the southern border

6. POTUS plan gains some traction for a time until a US ICE agent is killed and the guns involved are traced to an ATF "sting" operation

7. The lid blows off as it is revealed this was NOT the work of dastardly American citizens, but the work of an even more dastardly AMERICAN GOVERNMENT

8. Lid blows to smithereens when it is discovered that US taxpayer money was given to the illegal purchasers to buy guns illegally and transport them to Mexico illegally, thereby (in a clever twist of plan) ultimately attempting to use American's own money (because no self-respecting liberal would use their own funds) and agencies to strip Americans of their Constutitional right to keep and bear arms

Two observations:
1) Everyone involved (and I mean everyone - right up to the buck-stops-here desk) needs to be prosecuted. Not by our goofy legal system, but by a REAL justice system - Mexican style! Hand them over to the Mexicans and let the perpetrators enjoy the hospitality of a Mexican prison.
and
2) We all owe an apology to the British and Richard Nixon. Their schemes were positively amateurish compared to this.

Sorry for the rant, but I still feel no relief. :patriot:

Even though this is the eleventy-millionth post on this subject, it still reads like an impossible tale. :mad5

I think Holder will wind up in prison. Actually, Holder should pray that he's tried and convicted before Obama leaves office so Obama can write him a pardon while he still has the power to do so. Just 16 more months if things go well.

I am a Pessimist. I believe that no one in the Cabinet-level or above will be significantly marred by this scandal.

I hope that I am absolutely wrong.

:iagree: I think they are going to get away with it, there is absolutely no one to hold them accountable and bring them to justice (all the Federal law enforcement works for Holder)...but hopefully this will at least lose them a few more votes at the poles next year.

I agree, no serious prosecution will take place
THe asministration has demonstrated time and again that the Rule of Law is for other people without political, fiscal or union connections
When the top law enforcement oficial in the country flagrantly breaks laws with the blessing of the POTUS we have a problem with no easy solution

I think that sums it up, unfortunately.

Congress needs to prosecute these people involved in this, especially if Holder and the President are involved.
