Hopefully this is overturned so places of worship in Georgia don't have to be victim-rich, criminal-safe zones any longer.

Edit: Sorry...don't think I put this in the right forum!

This is in Federal Court, challenging the state ban on 1A religious protection rights. The State of Georgia needs to get it right and have their own legislature repeal the ban. I don't hold out much hope that the feds will overturn the statute and expand (or properly acknowledge) 2A rights. Texas did it right.

Texas eventually got it almost right for a place of religious worship. They still got it wrong for schools and many other places.

We'll get there. I don't think the federal court is going to overturn the state law, but who knows. It would be nice, but the state needs to change it themselves.

Easy answer: stay home or go out in nature and worship with your family...or something.

FWIW, the LDS church in Utah has gone on record as not allowing guns in LDS churches. Check it out here.

We just came through SLC and were highly impressed with Temple Square and all of the well dressed and pleasant speaking Mormons therein. Once we got past the "howdies and where you froms", etc., none of them wanted to talk much about that Mountain Meadows thinghy back in 1857.

It seems that some things just never change...
