...personally know of that happening twice, back in the revolver days...with the web of the hand...good story and food for thought...we taught if struggling over a weapon, drop the mag...fire it if possible...good trainers used to teach weapon retention/disarming tactics...for that once-in-a-lifetime happening...betcha that officer really enjoyed the sunrise...
