Being to reloading I have been expermenting a little bit. My recipe for 9mm is:

Berry's Bullets 147 grain RN

HP38 Powder--3.7 grains

Fiocchi primers

Crimping--just enough to straighten the case wall

Overall Length--1.145--The manuals say max OAL is 1.125, what is the diff? Some of my fellow IDPA shooters run 1.116. So far my G17 seems to digest whatever I put into it and accuracy is good.

My manual says max OAL of 9x19mm is 1.169", leaving yours OK. In the end, though, the real OAL is what functions properly in your firearm -- e.g. no/very few feeding or extraction issues, no over/under pressure signs, etc...

are you sure your manual lists 1.125 as max OAL and not min?
Most of them list the MIN but then only show the max length in the drawing or table of 9mm specs, of course I don't have a copy of every manual either.
as mentioned, If it functions with a longer OAL then you're good to go. Just approach max charges and min OAL's carefully. Normally I load 3-4 dummy rounds with lengths ranging from Min to Max and drop test into the barrels and then cycle test in the guns. From there I can get an idea of the range of lengths that work for each gun and keep that in a notebook.
