I use one of these when I just need a single clove, same principle.

I can do it faster: I just hand it to my wife and say "Peel this." Takes no time at all for me

wow, all you need is two 80 qt. sauce pans to peel one head of garlic...

I can pick the paper off, no big deal. Smash it flat under the side of the knife, scoop and dump.
