The mother of a man who authorities said shot himself during a road rage incident Friday expressed disbelief that he would engage in a violent confrontation with another driver.

Police said Michael Milner, 47, fatally shot himself Friday afternoon after witnesses saw him arguing with a 24-year-old man on the North Side.

“It's not anything like him,” said his mother, Mary Ann Milner. “We don't know what happened.”

Well im mister dodge this man was speeding and driving aggressive when I pulled off the road to a public gas station he followed me and right when I got out he took one shot now to settle the questions on why from this point I chose to Chase him there are two reasons one he was unstable and in no condition to be on our roads shooting at civilians.... could have been any of you. Second reason I'm not paying for the damage to my beautiful dodge I feel that I did our fine city a service by trying and successfully getting his plate number for the police unfortunately HE chose another way out I was shocked more than anyone to see this end the way it does you should all be very careful you never know who's in the car behind you
I can only say i feel really bad for those that were part of Mr. Milners life. I went to school with the girl he was dating for the last 5 months. She was so happy to have finally met a nice guy, I feel really bad for her. According to her he "accidentally shot himself", unfortunately, i dont think that was what happened.

So where did the "mister dodge" part come from? It seems pretty strange...why did he call people "civilians"? Was he military or a cop? The whole thing seems pretty messed up...

The Mister dodge thing is from the supposed dodge driver. He posted that response on the comments on that link.

I received bad news today.

My friend Pam, whos boyfriend up top shot himself, ended her own life this past Thursday (12/1).

I dont know yet how she did it, but i feel so bad after having talked to her a couple weeks ago.

She was sad that her boyfriend wasnt with her any longer but i never thought she would do this and leave her son without a mom :(

I took this photo back on our graduation in 1988

RIP Pam

Oldgringo,

Strange posts from you here, and in the civil immunity thread...are you acting yourself?

Yes, thank you for asking. {I think}

Road rage is not good; especially, if it leads to people being dead. Everyone should just slow down and "smell the roses". What's the rush?

As far as civil immunity is concerned, I merely suggested that one's chance$ of being 'no-billed' might be greater if one did not fire the first $hot. That said, there comes a time when a man/woman must do what needs to be done. Shootin' people, even those who need shootin', won't be cheap.

K, just checking. No offense intended whatsoever. I just have a certain Oldgringo standard set in my mind, and that seemed a little different than usual. I also have a certain TAM standard, a certain Speedsix standard, a certain Mr. Cotton standard, a certain Keith B. standard, and so on. You all have enough posts, and a great deal of my respect (and many others, also), that I sense when something seems a little different. Of course, that may just be me trying to interpret everything to the nth degree, but that is what I do in my professional life.

Carry on!
