Looking for some info and some bit of confirmation that I'm doing this correctly.
I'm just now getting around to renewing my instructor certification that expires 12/31/11 (I know I know, should have done it earlier, but slipped my mind)
Anyway, I did the online renewal at DPS website and paid my money via credit card. But there was nothing to tell me I needed to take the online test I've read about in other threads here.
Also it says I need to submit a CHL-90 form. I found the form and it seems redundant, but I guess that's not really a surprise. Just making sure if everyone else had to submit this form "manually" (filled out in ink and snail mailed to DPS?)
Also will the online "test" be required in a few days after they processed my online application?

Re: question on instructor renewal
you find the test online -- it is there, so look for it.
It's password protected -- use your instructor's password
It isn't necessary to send in the CHL-90 unless there is relevant information there
Look for "Online instructor's renewal exam" here http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/administra ... orinfo.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
