LTs para-phrase of one of our founding Fathers quote.

When Govt becomes oppressive resistance/revolt/rebellion becomes duty.
Who said it & what is the correct quote????

Um, the Declaration of Independence?

"That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Are you thinking of the Thomas Jefferson quote (which is darn close to what is above)?

I have & use the Declaration of Independence quote often. I am vagly & w/ much fog in head think I remember a shor one liner by someone. Was hoping maybe someone had it as a signature line.

I have been all wet before & may be again. :oops:

That one will work but not the one I think I remember. The one thing I know I remember is the final statement concerning duty.

May not be what you are seeking, this is all of the quotes I have saved with the word DUTY.
