KHOU news said tonight that DPS has closed the inquiry against Keller and will not suspend his CHL instructor license.

I don't why they would, he hasn't done anything (lawfully) wrong yet.

Great. He may have mouthed off inappropiatly but I do not think that's enough reason for him to lose license.

Exactly.
He expressed some personal and politically held views, even alluded that he would deny his services to certain persons, groups (which WOULD be a problem) BUT...he has
not (to my knowledge) actually broken any laws (yet).
But...in these times of Rabid "Political Correctness", it is considered insensitive for a man to speak his mind anymore.

Not too much of a fool, he got tons of free advertising and likely an increase in business. Wonder if it offset his legal fees though.

I have to ask, what legal fees? At this point there shouldn't be any.
