Don"t know anything more about it but it was reported this morning on the local radio news that the TRC will allow its employees who have a CHL to carry on the job.

Found a quick blurb here...

Workers can carry guns

The Railroad Commission of Texas, which regulates oil and gas wells, has voted to allow employees to pack a weapon as they conduct agency business. Spokesman Casey Haney said the commission approved a policy change Tuesday that will allow workers who can legally carry a concealed handgun in Texas to have their weapons on the job. Employees often work alone in desolate areas where they could encounter criminals or dangerous wild animals, officials said.
And a more detailed story here:

"It just makes sense" to be able to carry a concealed weapon, said Patterson, who also noted, "Frankly, if someone is going to go nuts at work, they're going to go nuts at work," regardless of the agency's gun policy.
Hopefully the start of a trend.!! :hurry:

Nice. I knew the Land office allowed (thanks to Jerry), but didn't know the AG office was okay, too. And now the Railroad commission. What a pleasant trend!

This is the way all companies should view CHL. Hopefully this trend continues and spreads further.
