Not sure if this has been posted but I just found it on my Nephews Facebook page and decided to share.

She's ready, wish my wife had that attitude. She still doesn't like that I carry everywhere.

My wife has had her CHL for years but didn't carry like I wanted her to. One howl from a cougar close to the house and she and the firearm are inseparable.

My wife finally seems to have gotten used to the idea that I carry all of the time, except at the non-valid posted hospitals where I work. She was originally adamant that I do not carry to church. I told her I would think about it, but could not promise that I would not carry. After about a month I started carrying to church also. She no longer asks about, worries about it, or comments on it when her hand brushes against it. I call this great progress!
The other sign of HUGE progress is that she let me take our 10 year old son to the shooting range, last Saturday, where I rented him a nice little 10 shot .22 revolver. His first time out, with a "real" gun, and he took to it like a fish to water. I figured I might get a loud "NO" on the phone, but she said I could take him with little or no hesitation. I guess the fact that my weapon has not mysteriously discharged itself over the last six months has helped her to relax a bit.

After reading some of the situations of wives who are opposed or have issues with carrying, I count myself blessed that my wife feels the same about it as I do.
We took our CHL class together, and her license arrived in the mail one day before mine

, and she doesn't let me forget that fact either

. However, karma is a sweet thing, and due to our birthdays her license expires six months before mine

.

Yeah, but she can also boast that she had to get her first renewal before you did. Easiest just to let sleeping dogs lie.

Way to go, granny. I wish my wife was more interested. We got permits at the same time, but she has cooled tremendously about shooting, and has never carried.
I don't know how to get her interested again. She won't even tell me why, I should just "know".

That is one of the most foolish things a woman can ever say: "If you don't know, then I'm not telling!" Really? How is that supposed to communicate anything? Except possibly disdain and disrespect for a person you supposedly love. My husband told me early on he wasn't a mind reader. Makes life a lot easier when we both play by that rule and actually eliminate the guessing from things.
Carrying a gun is just plain good sense. Just gives you one more option to keep yourself well and healthy. It is not only a right, but IMHO a responsibility. Good guys being able to protect themselves just keep the streets that much safer for those that won't.

Go granny! My grandma used to carry a .38 in her purse. Older folks are often targets for robberies, no reason for grandma not to carry.
