Move and Shoot Ranges

Hi all. I was treated one day to Dallas Pistol Club and loved it. I have liked indoor ranges like Targetmaster because you can move the target while one is shooting. Here is the problem, I need to start my daughters on shooting silhouettes at various distances but one of them has a sensitive ear from another dufus at an indoor range. Quail Creek is close but....well it's quail creek. Is there any suggestions where we can shoot outdoors at different distances? Lateral movement would be a plus. I need to get these girls up to speed but I don't know where to even look.

It a bit of a drive from the metroplex, but Jacob's in Greenville has tactical bays where you can practice with movement.

Elm Fork has an outdoor pistol range. I usually only go for the rifle range so i haven't tried is, but it looks pretty nice.

That is better than what you can do at Quail Creek.

DFW needs an indoor or outdoor range where qualified (checked out to make sure they are safe and know what there doing) people can shoot from any position, on the move, etc.... I know it's much more dangerous but if the range were built correctly and staffed by a person w/adequate knowledge I think it could be done safely.

An airsoft range is better than Quail Creek.

Sorry, but about the only thing you can do self-defense wise at Shoot Smart (IH-35 W at Golden Triangle Blvd in far north Fort Worth) is draw from a holster if you're in the PRIVATE lane, Lane #11. It's about 5 foot wide, so not too much lateral movement could take place in that lane - the other lanes are 4 feet wide.

Does anyone know if Alpine, south of town in Everman, has tactical bays?

Jacob's Plain out in Greenville has bays where you can do pretty much what you want to do from a training perspective. It's about an hour from eastern Dallas, an hour and a half for me. Haven't been there in a while since its a bit of a drive.

Nope. There are only 3 choices for distances for handguns at Alpine (all longer range). It's more of a marksmanship-type range for handguns.
There are some gun clubs that may fit the bill. Might want to check into
