Specifically, I want to be able stream TV shows from CBS. I can do that from a computer browser but Roku won't do it, so they're out of the running. So is dragging the computer from my home office to the living room every time I want to watch TV in comfort. For $100 pre-Christmas, I would buy a blue ray DVD player if it can stream as well as Chrome or IE, instead of being hamstrung like Roku. Does anyone have one of these and know?
Along similar lines, many of the blue ray DVD players say they can play streaming video from Hulu, Netflix and others. Do they have a browser built in and can stream any online video content, or is it like a Roku box and you can only stream video for certain content providers where they built a special interface, and usually require an account?Venus Pax wrote:It mentions the use of facebook and twitter, but is vague. What is this experience like? Would I be able to access fb in a way that a laptop or tablet/smart phone would allow?
