Thoughts? vs CompTac or Crossbreed?

Well, you can choose between the two originals -- CT MTAC & CBST -- who defined and developed this holster market segment. Or you can choose the large company copycat.
Personally, I own both the CompTac MTAC & CBST.

I don't own a Crossbreed holster but I own several Comp-Tac holsters and belts. I can't say enough good about both Comp-Tac products and their customer service.

What made the difference for me was:
1. Changeable Kydex belt clips - in black, brown, tan. Easily changed to match belt/trousers.
2. Some people don't particularly like the logo on CrossBreed's metal clips - plain Jane is best for concealment, IMHO
3. Customer service - call up each and see how they answer your questions. Comp-Tac definitely won the race there.
4. Last, but definitely not least wise - CompTac is a Texas company - keep your money at home.
I bought a MTAC for my PPS and was happy with it, until I wanted to add a Viridian C5L light/laser combo.
Now, that said - when I tried to get Comp-Tac to let me drive down to Spring (about a 700 mile round trip) to let them use my Viridian laser and my PPS to custom build me a holster, they weren't having nothing of it. So, as long as they got what you want, you're good as gold. But, if you want something customized, you may not be able to get it from them.
I wound up purchasing a custom holster for that rig from White Hat Holsters in Arlington.
http://www.whitehatholsters.com. Their MaxTuck is basically a clone of the CBH or Comp-Tac, with metal clips (Kydex ones are coming some time soon), but at a price that's a bit better than the leaders - my horsehide custom hybrid with metal clips ran $70. And I had it in my hands in four days. Just something to consider.

Shot IDPA with the guy who owns Comptac once. He's a great guy, helped me take some time off my score. Even though I was probably the only guy there who didn't have a Comptac rig (I have lots of stuff from them I just don't care for their OWB's).
As far as your laser goes... I bet you could heat it up and mold it to the laser without changing the form of the kydex too much.

I thought about that, but in the end decided to let someone with a bit more experience do it right for me. And, the results work just fine!

Hybrid IWB? CompTac ......... persons above listed great reasons.
Clip variety is great.
Texas
I don't like clips showing on top of my belt at all
I do wear a Desantis NYLON Tuck This 2 though (J-clip under belt)
Comptac ...
C-clips (of any color) can be made into J-clips by cutting the top of the C off (file/sand if needed) ... and one can add sticky-back velcro on them for home-made J-clips with Velcro too if you want Velcro too, but not really needed with a J-clip.
I Use a CompTac belt with Velcro sewn in, and Comptac V-clips
That's my Sunday rig ...
I looked at a picture of "Desantis Intruder" ...
1) clips don't look real adjustable (cant angle and height)
2) clips are HUGE (I guess that's great if you want people wondering what you are advertising there... bigger billboards get more attention)
3) What's that engraved on the clips? Desantis? don't they make GUN holsters? .. oh my !!! ...
(May as well pin a CHL badge on there ...)
Just my opinion ...

I know clips don't have to be concealed
BUT I prefer to not "advertise" that I have something "concealed"
http://www.desantisholster.com/desantis ... -and-ruger" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Just my opinion :) ... I'd pocket carry before I put billboards on my belt. Every LEO encounter I've had they scan my belt/waistline ... and go away wondering/not knowing/see no clips etc.

I wont need different colors, I am a black on black kind of guy. They do have J-hooks you can get with it. Midway usa had them onsale thats what struck my curiosity.
Whatever I go with it will have j-hooks. IMO you dont have to have a logo to see metal clips as a billboard. Side note. Has anyone every noticed a lot of people advertise holsters with brown belts and black clips? I am sure its to "show" the holster but I just always find that a little odd.
Thanks for all the replies. I hope by the end of next year to own as many tuckable IWB holsters as I can and do some reviews on all of them. I see some OK reviews on youtube here and there ,but none really answer them all IMO. I learn more from women then men when it comes to concealment. I hope that doesnt mean I have some underlying issues.
Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving. Thanks again.

There is a disadvantage to J-hooks that most people don't realize until you've worn them.
Wearing a good quality gunbelt with a holster that has regular clips or C-clips means the gunbelt holds the weight of the holster and gun.
Wearing a J-clip means the fabric of your pants holds the weight of the holster and gun, not the gunbelt. I've tried 'em. Don't like 'em.

I'm the same way. Put J-hooks onto my crossbreed, hated them. Switched back over to the other clips.
I wear my shirts untucked anyway, so no one will see the clips on the belt.
