you should report the incorrect sign to the TABC and they will get it corrected.

I believe there's a web form to report the error

Complaint filed...

It appears from the TABC General Questions that they are required to post the sign assigned on their license.
Establishments licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for off-premise consumption or establishments licensed to sell for on-premises consumption whose alcohol sales are 50% or less of total gross receipts are required to post a sign that warns that the unlicensed possession of a concealed weapon is a felony. The holder of a concealed handgun license may lawfully possess a concealed handgun on these premises.

It's close to home and dogs are allowed so we like to go.

I was there last month and sat on the patio. I didn't notice any signs but I didn't walk through the front door either.

And yes there were dogs on the patio and at least one CHL... Me...

There is a sign right by the front door, but it's uninforceable

They have to post the correct signage but I don't think they have to be the actual pieces of paper they got from TABC. For example, some restaurants have custom signs with the required words for the blue sign.
