Arizona CCW- My Experience

I have had my TX CHL since shortly after I moved to TX (hey I got here as soon as I could), but decided to get my Arizona CCW as well. I do travel to some of the "extra" states that having the Arizona CCW gives you, and also wanted to have another valid permit that has an different expiration date than my TX CHL. On top of that I am a native of AZ, so the novelty factor played a role as well.
Due to GFSZA issues I strongly suggest that in addition to any other non resident permit anyone has, they are always better off having their residence permit in their respective state as well.
Called AZ DPS- October 28th
Received Packet- November 3rd
Fingerprinted- November 3rd
Sent Packet Back- November 3rd
Received License- December 5th
5 weeks, start to finish.
Cost: $60 to AZ DPS, $20 to local court for 2 sets of fingerprint cards, and a little bit of postage.
