The primers in Fiocchi ammo work I see no reason for their component primers not to work.

If I have been happy with the last 15,000 Wolf primers, and 5,000 Tula primers, I'd have no qualms about trying Fiochi since they are considered a "better" brand. I have a pretty utilitarian view of primers. I basically look at price, then I look at price.

BTW, Powder Valley Inc is selling Wolf for $15.50 per thousand.

Found some Fiochi primers for 22 bucks a thousand so I picked'em up.

That's a good price on the Wolf and I saw where they had Tula's for twenty so I may go that route on my next run. I have had such good luck with the Winchester's I was hesitant to try another brand but I"m trying to shoot more so gotta get the cost down. :fire

For range, competition, and blasting ammo I'm not too picky about the brand of primers I use. For "it's gotta work or else" ammo (hunting, high accuracy, self defense, etc.) I prefer Federal, Remington, Winchester or CCI, in that order.

I use the small rifle primers in the 223 for the ar15, everyone has gone bang. I even tried a few in some 9mm and 380 cases to see if they would work and they did. I found them n sale a couple of years ago for 24.00 for 1500 so I bought 2 boxes.

Fiocchi factory ammo is on my blacklist because I have an unacceptable dud rate.
