Prayers needed please........

My Brother-in-Law (the one I LIKE) has gotten some potentially bad news.
His neurosurgeon has told him that a mass and swelling in the Parietal Lobe of his brain can basically be a couple of things. MS (and associated swelling), or Malignant Tumor. He was told no benign tumors ever develop in that part of the brain.
Biopsy and removal of the mass are scheduled for 1st week in January, Doctor said he can wait no later than that. The mass is located close to the motor line and paralysis is possible from the surgery.
So...prayers for Bryan and my Sister...that no matter what the outcome, God will provide strength and comfort.

Thanks guys, I am a firm believer in the power of prayer. Not for "miracles" (though that can happen) but that God's Will be done and that the family find strength and comfort in that.

Thanks for the update Flint. Your brother-in-law and sister are in our prayers. You're right, miracle cures don't always come, but God is always in control.

You are so right about while the outcome is not always what we would "will", it is God's will, and we are always in his care, even when it is very hard for us to comprehend. Prayers going up for you and yours!

Talked with my Sister today, Bryan's Surgeon hurt his back and had to postpone the surgery until tomorrow. But...new tests and imaging...showed that the tumor is smaller, the brain less swelled but the location of the tumor deeper and closer to the Motor Line than previously thought. So a mixture of good and bad news.
In any case... the surgery/biopsy will be less invasive...so recovery from the surgery will be quicker. Still will need to wait for biopsy reports for the prognosis though.
