To my CHLForum Family,

I have a very close friend who has become like a brother to me, who is in the terminal/eminent stages of esophogeal cancer. He made the concious decision several months ago to forego chemotherapy since his cancer was inoperable, and the traditional care would provide him with only a brief quantity improvement, with a severe loss of quality of life. He has chosen to receive palative care.

I just received word that he is in critical condition. I would like to ask all of you to pray for his family as they go through what comes next. Although we don't know whether we're at the minutes/hours stage or just a few days, but we know the end is near.

After some heart to heart talks with him, I feel reasonably sure he knows Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, and I have shared my witness with him--I know he knows in his head. I only wish I could know beyond the shadow of a doubt he knows with his heart.

Brothers and SIsters, please help me pray Eric home to God.

This alone proves you are his best friend. That is the most important thing man can know. Only the person and God knows 100% sure. You can rest assure God did His Part, and you have done your part. Now it is up to Eric to receive the free gift.

I just heard that Eric is back home after receiving a Series of blood transfusions, which should buy him several weeks of QUALITY time. He's still terminal, but no longer critical/eminent.

Praise God for His mighty hand. He is indeed the great physician.

...maybe time to make sure things that need to be made sure of...God is merciful...and patient...
