The site of the burgled house was "Melody Park". I don't know if that's a street name or a neighborhood.

Is the use (or threat) of deadly force (pointing a gun at someones head) to protect another party's property during the day legal? The individual sitting in the car may have been an accomplice but posed no threat to the actor nor did he actually posses (yet) the stolen items.

...the article says he chased the perp to the car...after seeing him with the TV...he clearly WAS an accomplice...PC9:43, qualified by 9;41(b)(2) which kicks in the possibility of 9:42, which is qualified unde 9.42(2)(A) AND (B) and (3)(B) would be reasonable to believe...give him a medal and buy him a steak!!!

Some of the tv reporters made a point to point out that the homeowner had done the wrong thing by chasing down the thief????

Reporters nowadays have a bad habit of interjecting opinions instead of just sticking to the reporting thing.
