Saw this at the Grocery Store(forget the name but its the only one there) in Jewett, TX. On the other side of the automatic sliding door the "blue" TABC signs were posted properly.

I'm suprised they had an automatic sliding door in Jewett!

Their signs are so polite to smokers ("..Please"), but harsh toward gun owners ("Notice!!").

Many times, I understand large chain places posting their stores...its done to adhere to a policy set by corporate that is headquartered in an "anti-" location. But, I've always wanted to ask someone running a small place like the one in the picture if they actually think that stops bad-guys from bringing a gun into the place. Somehow, it seems that people just don't get the fact that there are people who are willing to rob and kill you and they aren't going to be deterred by a sign...I mean, is this the picture they have in mind? "Um, I was going to go in and rob the store and shoot the clerk, but since they put up a 'no guns' sign, darned it, I just can't"... :???:

Maybe in Jewett, BGs are polite enough "not to smoke" and attentive enough to "Notice!" signs, and act accordingly. :txflag:

I am with you. Ironic isn't it? Especially when you consider how many more people die from smoking every year as apposed to "lead poisioning". :???:

I always chuckle when I see a "no weapons" sign...that pretty much insinuates that their customers are brain-dead...after all, your mind IS your MOST DANGEROUS WEAPON (hands, feet, knees, elbows, keys, pens, etc....the list never ends....are great weapons too!). It plans, it reacts, etc...not to mention that you'd probably be "brain-dead" to post a sign like that anyway...and actually believe that it works.... :tiphat:

Here's another snide comment about a place, which will give you a chuckle.

The people of Kentucky were not happy to see that someone had printed T-shirts emblazoned with:

KENTUCKY - ELECTRICITY IN MOST TOWNS!
