Wow - an article that is pro-2A, and it appeared in a publication nominally
controlled by Michael Bloomberg??? I'm flabbergasted. :-)

I wouldn't call that article "pro-2A". In fact, it seemed to me that the writer was VERY grudgingly conceding to reality, with a lot of sideways snide comments to make himself feel better. And the part about the computer system being what has made NYC safer...a JOKE. I recently read another article about an LEO who taped conversations, roll calls, etc. in his precinct. And guess what? The computer system led to institutionalized UNDER-REPORTING of violent crimes among other things...if it isn't in the database as a violent crime, then a violent crime didn't happen. The truth in the article posted in the links is that Americans don't want more gun laws. All I'm wondering is what slick trick those jokers have up their sleeve next...since Fast and Furious got botched, that is...
