Cali sucks # 2

Woke up this morning to head out to Newport Beach to visit my wife's cousin... And what do I find? My car had been egged, my SIL's brand new Corrola had been egged, and their neighbors RV had been egged along with a broken window and a slashed tire.

Tuesday can not come soon enough... Texas, I miss you (and my garage)

Although your forum profile has no "hometown" data, the photo of your car tells
us that you have a San Angelo, Texas area connection.

Can anyone state why I know this?

snatchel, et al:

The giveaway to where anyone in Texas is from is to look at the registration sticker.

Each Texas registration sticker contains the following information:

Upper left corner is your license plate number.

Lower left corner is the county in which your vehicle is registered. Although a little hard to read,
I could see that your vehicle is registered in "Tom Green" county, which is the San Angelo area.

Lower right corner is not the complete VIN of the vehicle to which the plates are on, but it is the last 8
characters or so of the VIN.

So whenever you see a vehicle and you want to know if they are local, or from somewhere else in Texas,
just look at the "county" area on their sticker.

By the way, the sticker reading "NAS Fort Worth JRB" = Naval Air Station Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base.
IIRC it's because multiple US uniformed services have a presence there.

Why wait 'til Tuesday? Clearly, the folk in your in-law's 'hood don't care for Texans.

We've ran into that regional bias in Colorado and the those locals got their wish. We left and took our spending money with us.

I'm leaving for California Tuesday night. I'm looking forward to being there about as much as a root canal. I kind of have to be there.....my brother's wedding......but it's not something I would normally look forward to.

You must be closer to your brother than I am to mine. I wasn't invited to any of his four weddings and am really not expecting to be invited to any subsequent ones he may have either...I'm okay with that. :smilelol5:

Have a safe trip.

Well fortunately, my brothers and I are pretty close. Tbrown, thanks for the prayers. Right now, its kind of like the EU. I don't need a passport or visa to travel back and forth. That may change some day. Snatchel, enjoy the Grand Canyon. Give the doggie a squeeze for me.
