...with a feather.

I was checking on some adult education classes for my daughter at Judson ISD (Converse, NE of San Antonio) when I noticed concealed handgun classes as one of the categories in Community Education. Last thing I expected. Anyone know of other school districts that do this? Unless they're held off-campus, I would think the instructor would have to disarm to teach the class.

No CHL classes are currently offered so I have no info on cost or actual location.

I've heard of community colleges offering CHL classes but not ISDs, although there's no reason they couldn't.

As you note, the instructor would have to disarm in the classroom, unless they get permission to carry.

I know someone who got authorization to attend his son's college graduation with his CHL, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

A past class 4/2/2011 - 4/9/2011 was held at Judson Learning Academy for the classroom and at Bracken Rifle and Pistol Range for the shooting portion.

I'm glad not all schools are afraid of guns.
