IDPA Classifier Houston Area Not Saturday

I am trying to schedule an IDPA classifier for myself and maybe a couple of other guys and have a couple of questions.
1. I instruct CHL classes every Saturday so it is hard for me to take that day off, does anyone hold classifiers on other days?
2. I work at an indoor range but it is NOT IDPA sanctioned. Is it possible to hold a sanctioned classifier? I believe we have at least a dozen people who would be interested.

I am currently checking to see if the Impact Zone has a bay open on sunday. If so and people are willing to travel to the Impact Zone on sunday, we can do a classifier.
I should know later tonight.
For the location of the Impact zone, go to the WHIDPA website
http://www.whidpa.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Morning or afternoon better for you guys. I will not do it for one shooter but if we can get a group together, we can fix you guys up as a favor to you and to WHIDPA

At this time, I am unable to do a classifier either this Sunday or Next Sunday. I will go to the WHIDPA board to see if they can schedule a classifier on an upcoming Sunday at Impact Zone and post to this forum

I believe the best way is to set a classifier on one of our IDPA match nights at The Arms Room, maybe Monday, January 30th at 630pm. Would that work for most everyone? How long does it take?

It takes a really long time to shoot a classifier. We shot our last classifier at PSC (and they have it down to an art form), it took about 20 of us over four hours to shoot all the stages.
This is Charles comments following the July classifier at PSC. I hope he doesn't mind me quoting him, but you can find the information at:

Classifier Scores
We had 20 people shoot the Classifier and for a lot of them, it was their first. It never ceases to amaze me how long it takes to shoot a Classifier. We started shooting slightly before 9:00am and we finished about 1:00pm. Just at week ago we shot our regular monthly IDPA match with 80 shooters. We started a little after 8:30am and were finished, all equipment and props were put up, and the match crew was leaving the range before 1:00pm! There are a few things that can be done to speed up a Classifier, but it still takes much longer than a regular match.
This was our second Classifier this year and it will probably be our last for 2011.
Hope that helps!
T.
