I Felt Like I Did When I First Got My Plastic

The other day, I was in a city building that was improperly posted 30.06. I have to admit, I was quite nervous. I *know* I was legal, but am also sure that had I been seen, I would have had the 'take the ride / beat the rap' scenario. I have to admit, I was tempted to put it back in the car when I saw the sign, but the principle of it just ticks me off so much that I did a quick bit of research on my iPhone, then carried away. :rules:

I'm so sick of municipal and/or county buildings improperly posting. It's clearly intimidation. It makes me feel powerless that we cannot change it without costing more money than I can afford. :banghead:

I will say, once inside, I felt like a 'newbie' carrying again. I was wearing a sport coat, and had my Glock 19 in a Comptac M-tac IWB holster at 3 o'clock. I was convinced that everyone could 'spot the bulge', and see me 'printing'. I road in the elevator with 3 LEO's on the way out, and those doors could not open fast enough!! I really felt like a new carrier again. It was quite funny to have that feeling again because typically, I'm 100% not worried about it now. The general public sees nothing. I am almost to the point where I'm convinced I could literally walk around with it in my hand at the grocery store, and go unnoticed. hah.

I am no position to be a 'test case'. I have purchased 'pre-paid legal protection', but regardless, there's no way out of it without costing you at least a fortune in time and possibly embarrassment. Darn the city and county for this intimidation. It's so frustrating!

It was the Harris County Appraisal District (HCAD) on 290.
There's another thread on this building here.
