I think I may confused her with another female NY politician? From here, they all kinda' look alike.

I remember when that shooting happened on the railroad that killed her husband and injured her son.
I remember finding it interesting that in NY they were calling for the government to "do something" and in NC (where I lived at the time) we were fighting for passage of our CC law.
