Guadalupe County Judge Mike Wiggins was arrested Monday night at a College Station hotel and jailed on a charge of possession of marijuana, less than 2 ounces.

"There's nothing I can deny. It is what it is," Wiggins, a former DPS sergeant, said when contacted Thursday afternoon. He said he planned to be in his office Friday morning and would discuss the situation further at that time.

This is just absurd. Was he driving? Was he putting anyone else at risk? Leave the man be...if it is his prerogative to be a "dope", then let him.

Yet alcohol is "a-ok"! I bet this guy gets a harsher punishment than public officials who get caught driving under the influence.

Maybe he shouldn't go around doing things that he enacts punishment on others for... There's a law that needs to be on the books. What do you think double sentence? Triple?

But those who work for the Government are exempt from law aren't they?
I'll E-mail Mayor Bloomberg and Eric Holder and verify this.

Why? They don't like to be pinned-down on any particular topic.
