Good opinion piece (though to be fair, lacking in specifics supporting her claims)

In November, the president signed the Justice Department appropriations bill, which included language from Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican, prohibiting federal agencies from facilitating the transfer of an operable firearm to an individual known or suspected to be in a drug cartel, unless they monitor the weapon at all times.

Now Mr. Obama is proposing to remove that provision from the 2013 spending bill, thus making it legal to revive gun-walking operations in the future. The White House justification is merely that the prohibition is “not necessary.”

There's a piece of paper up on the cork-board at work that has written on it, "New Rule: If you're going to let your friends get up on stage and dance around, please ensure they keep their clothes on. -Dave". Now, I wouldn't have thought that I had to spell that one out, but based on past history I was wrong (though thankfully it's only happened once in 5 years).

Obviously F&F is a far more serious breech in judgement than some drunk guy thinking that we all wanted to see him run around in his boxers. Yet Obama thinks that the same people who've proven beyond any reasonable doubt that their leash is far too long don't need to reined in a bit? I sure hope the GOP candidate will use this in their campaign.
