Did anyone else find it kind of odd that the animal rights activists thought the hunting club folks were shooting "pigeons"? Is that a big thing in South Carolina? Or is it more likely that they were shooting "clay pigeons"? Maybe I'M the one who's missing something here, please explain if I am. I hunted dove and quail as a kid, and I had a couple of young troops that worked for me in California who were really into duck hunting, but pigeons, real live, rats-with-wings, splatter-your-car pigeons? That is a new on on me.

NICE!

and again...im amazed at the ignorance these people show..."cranky firearm-wielding southerners"

really?! well, wouldnt you be cranky if idiotic people told you hugging a tree will kill you and spied on you to make sure you didnt do it?! geez!

and im sure they were dove hunting, the uninformed call doves pigeons...even though technically they are i believe, but i cant say i have ever been pigeon hunting.

If they animal-nazis were flying it onto private property?

I'm just going to guess that they meant dove but the reporters fumbled it. Pigeons are actually the rock dove.

And if anyone wants to call me a cranky firearm wielding southerner I'll tell them one thing... I resemble that!

Hindi estimated damage to the drone at around $200 to $300

I don't condone shooting down the drone but I also don't condone the use of private surveillance aircraft spying on private property. I wonder what would have happened if this kind of aircraft had been used around a private celebrity wedding. I see it as poetic justice.

If it's on their property? How does that work? Curious.

There used to be pigeon shoots all over south Texas when I was a kid (long time ago). Don't know if they still have them, haven't heard anything about them in a long time. Yes, they were real pigeons.

I have to wonder if the idiot flying the thing crashed it and blaiming the people he was illegaly harassing. :headscratch

Sportsmen ... "oops, mistake, not intended, ...thought it was a bird" , perhaps you want my homeowner's insurance info to see if you can file a claim to fix the little broken plastic propeller? And ..."they" should keep their radio controlled toys away from hunting leases people paid to use .... and go to a park somewhere.
