Yep, because it is the government, and the healthcare is "free" (TANSTAAFL!), they just get away with it...if you listen carefully, you can hear the chanting in the background, "All praise be to Karl Marx, may his evil power in-crease"...

Perhaps you don't realize it because you may not read all the fine print, but you've probably signed a waiver for your doctor that says he's not responsible if a misdiagnosis results from anything but negligence on his part. And, just how many mis-diagnosis do you think happen in the US of A each year? It's not just a problem with countries with "socialized" medicine.

I kinda' hate to bring this up but isn't the VA a form of socialized medicine, maybe even just a little bit?

...more like a job benefit...like the old-time "Company Dr."...they earned it when they served...and they earned a heckuvalot more than the VA can give 'em...

Yes. So are medicare and medicaid.
Medicare is earned/paid into by workers----Medicaid is welfare. Need to seperate the two!

Socialism is socialism. You have the right to defend socialized medicine if you want but that doesn't change what it is.
