Versa Carry

Does anyone have a Versa Carry? What do you think? Do you use it or does it sit in a box?

It looks like an interesting idea but I'm a little worried it doesn't cover the trigger. I know the Gen II has a shield that blocks one side of the trigger guard, but the side next you your body (and loose shirt tails) is still exposed.

I'm interested in a minimalist ambidextrous holster for two reasons. Less bulk in the Summer is the main attraction. The second is a holster that will still work if I have a strong hand injury like LongHairedRedneck posted about on Friday.

I looked at the MIC and it completely covers the trigger guard but it doesn't do anything to keep the pistol in place. The MIC might be a good idea if someone is carrying off body in a purse or backpack, but I think it would end up with my pistol sliding down my pants leg.

I wouldn't buy anything from that guy as he apparently doesn't understand gun safety. in the video he has the gun pointed at the guy beside him. :banghead:

As for the product, unless it covers the trigger, I would not use it. Nothing more than a Clipdraw that stays put when you draw the weapon.

That's my big concern. Unless the chamber is empty I feel a lot more comfortable with a completely enclosed trigger guard. It kind of makes me want to spend $10 on a sheet or two of kydex and see if it's practical to make a DIY MIC with a belt clip.

...this guy'd look right at home in a Mickey Mouse ears cap...his gimmick is as unsafe as his gun handling...notice his trigger finger as he holds the clip up...

Raven is in the early release stages of its Vanguard 2 product...
Looks interesting...

NO WAY would I buy the rig n the OP... no trigger guard = recipe for disaster ... IMO, YMMV

Only available for a few Glocks currently...
