I have searched google and this forum, but I'm unable to find a clear list.

Where can I get a clear list of not just the carrying handgun laws (I know where this list is), but the penalties if convicted of these laws?

Thanks for replying! I have seen this, but what I am actually looking for are the descriptions of jail time/fines associate with each penalty.

SUBCHAPTER B. ORDINARY MISDEMEANOR PUNISHMENTS

Sec. 12.21. CLASS A MISDEMEANOR. An individual adjudged guilty of a Class A misdemeanor shall be punished by:

(1) a fine not to exceed $4,000;

(2) confinement in jail for a term not to exceed one year; or

(3) both such fine and confinement.

Acts 1973, 63rd Leg., p. 883, ch. 399, Sec. 1, eff. Jan. 1, 1974. Amended by Acts 1991, 72nd Leg., ch. 108, Sec. 1, eff. Sept. 1, 1991; Acts 1993, 73rd Leg., ch. 900, Sec. 1.01, eff. Sept. 1, 1994.

Notice the dates too ... those are current, but if you are comparing to what fine/etc there was 15/17/30 years ago ... it could have been different dollar amounts etc back then if you are trying to figure out what class ... by what amount or comparing 2 different States ... I'm not sure how that works since some stuff in 1 State is a bigger/lessor offense than in another State.
