Where can I get a good cowboy rig?
I've looked at El Paso Saddlery but I've heard about drastic wait times with them. Is there any quality (made in Texas) holster maker that can put out a no-frills rig with cartridge loops without waiting 10 months. I don't want anything fancy I just prefer that all my handguns have some kind of holster and with a SAA coming down the pipe soon I have decided on some type of cowboy rig. Looking to spend sub $200.
I know some of you guys play with leather and might be up for it so please let me know.

I would say El Paso Saddlery is the best. You get what you wait for.

I'm currently waiting on a S&W 66 holster form DMBullard that I ordered June 2011... He does fine work and I love my 1911 and Glock holsters I have from him, but I'm not up for that kind of wait right now (I have spoken to them a few times, they have been going through some times recently and I'm not in the least bit upset about the wait. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants a fantastic holster, but they are not accepting custom orders as of now... due to the wait which is a respectable thing to do.) If he had one in stock I would jump all over it.
I'll look into EPS and call them this week. If they can give me a 2 or 3 month timeline I might order one. Kirpatrick did a shotgun belt for me in a very short time for dove season that I'm very happy with but they are a little higher on the cowboy rigs than EPS for some reason.
DMB - not taking custom orders as of now
Kirpatrick - a little higher on price that I want to spend at the moment
EPS - i'll have to ask them about wait times. If nothing else pops up I'll suck it up and wait. I want a quality rig and I know they will deliver one from what I've read. I have been looking at the #44 Outfit though.
Tucker - doesn't have a cowboy rig as far as I know

I've been prowling fleabay and GB. I also found a company called Black Hills out of Laredo which looks nice.

DM Bullard doesn't make any cowboy holsters.
Check out El Paso Saddlery and Lone Rider Leather if you want some top quality Texas-made cowboy holsters.

oops lol. I've bought many many things from David, and am always on his website, but never noticed the cowboy rigs. I guess I don't see what I'm not looking for?
anyway, DM Bullard makes awesome stuff. He recently added some exotic skin items to his "In-Stock" list like hippo and cape buffalo. I got my hippo wallet today and I LOVE it. The texture is awesome, smooth and soft just like suede but a true exterior hide skin. I'm having a hard time not buying the complete matching set - belt, holster, and mag holder.
btw, did I mention I like DM Bullard?

I like his leather for my Glocks. His western leather does look nice.
