I can't remember the website, but its from here in San Antonio, and its from Google or Bing interactive maps and you can put pushpins on 'dog friendly' places. Perhaps with a little research you could make an interactive google/bing map with CHL friendly pushpins.
Sorry I couldn't find the maps, but hey, I'm a slacker.

It's an interesting idea if you have the capability. Sort of an anti-30.06 list if you will. As you mentioned, folks are always asking if a place is posted or not and if no one has posted it on your website either because it isn't posted or just because no one has bothered to inform the rest of us via your website that it is posted it's an unknown.

It sounds like it could grow to be 95% the size of the phone book.

Excellent point. There is that possibility.

The not-posted list would be useful, but I suspect you'd see waning interest in populating it. How many places do we each go in a day that are not posted?

I can not remember ever seeing a storefront with a sign that said that chl holders were welcomed, so it might be a very short list. A push pin map of 30.06 signs though would be helpful.

Yeah we were headed to the Kimbell Art museum in Ft Worth yesterday. I was looking all over to try to find if it was posted 30.06. We got there and it had a "No Guns Allowed" sign.

No doubt. Just a wild guess, but I'd say it would have to be at least 100:1 for the places I go that do not post 30.06 signs and that includes the non-valid ones! I think I've only run into one place that had a valid 30.06 sign that I posted on texas3006.com.

I would limit it to any gun friendly sign posted. Otherwise, you will have way to many entries to moderate. Additionally, if they just weren't posted and added a sign, then we may not get updated about it.

PM headed your way on the map Russel. I have a really good method for geocoding the data and having it show up on a drill-down Google map.
