Dr. Gene Payne (yeah, I know, bad name for a dentist

) on Beltline in Addison just east of the Tollway. His hygienist Charlotte is a good friend of mine. They are both fantastic.
On the name, their office is right behind Chamerlain's Steak House. They were all leaving to go to lunch one day and as they came out Chuck Norris was on his way up to the steak house. He looked at the name on the door and said "Hmm, Dr. Payne. Well, I am a really tough guy, but I don't think I would want to come to you!" Dr. Payne responded "Yep, I know how tough you are, but I bet I could make you cry; that is if you didn't kill me first!" They both had a good laugh.

I was thinking that they might have a "low priced" clinic where you didn't need insurance.

I was going to suggest Dr. "Painless" Parker.

I do still have dental insurance till April 9 2012. I need to do a full deep cleaning before said date.

Good luck. It can be a couple of months wait before I can schedule a deep cleaning with my dentist.

First quote of day:
Deep cleaning, 1 session 2-2.5 hrs cost: $895 or some
$400/hr
That rate is higher than any lawyer in big D!
Worse, the work is done by sub-contrator paid some $30-$35/hr. Dr time is just 5min to inject anesthesia in the jaws.
Total profi is $800 per 5mins of dentist time!

Wha? That price seems outrageous.
Your deep cleaning quote must be for a different sort of deep cleaning that I get from my periodontist and that costs me around $150. I guess things really are cheaper in the country.

Collin College off 380 in McKinney has a dental school that accepts subjects. Not sure on cost.
