Health Need: Heidi Welling

Dave Hughes' daughter is having surgery tomorrow to remove a tumor. She needs our prayers, so does Dave.

Chas.

Here is a portion of Dave's email:
My older daughter, Heidi, is going into the hospital for major surgery day after tomorrow. No news yet as to how long she is going to be in there. She is in horrible continuous pain from a tumor, and when I spoke with her last night, she barely had the strength to talk.

If you would be so kind as to put her into your prayer request "engine", I'd certainly appreciate it. I truly believe that your putting me in there has made some good things happen with me. Her full name is Heidi Welling, and she is just 40 years old. It is so hard emotionally to have a child that sick, and not be close enow to visit, nor to be able to do anything even if I could be near her.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

There is nothing more difficult than seeing your child in pain. Heidi and her parents will have our prayers.

Agreed.

We will pray daily for a successful surgery and quick recovery, also.. for strength and comfort for the family as they await the outcome.

Hang tough miss Heidi!

And no matter how old they are, they are still your children. We continue to pray for Heidi, and for Dave.

Heidi is in surgery today. Lord, you know our needs before we pray so we simply lift Heidi and Dave to You.

I just talked to Dave and he gave me good news about both Heidi and Dave. First Heidi. She came through surgery fine, but she's in quite a bit of pain. The biopsy results won't be back for a few days, but the surgeon did say he got all of the tumor. Her husband is with her and she may be able to go home in a day or so. A decision will be made about any further treatment when the biopsy results are known.

Let's keep praying for Heidi's recovery, for a favorable biopsy report, for relieving of her pain and above all for her emotional well-being. Pray too for her husband and Dave; watching someone you love go through this is harder than doing it yourself.

Now for Dave:
He is doing great!! The latest studies show completely normal blood flow to both kidneys and this is apparently something that he has not had for a long time. He also told me that ever since we started praying for him, he has not been suffering the constant sharp pain that has plagued him for a long long time. His doctors have no explanation for this pain relief, but he told them it was the power of prayer. Dave also wanted me to tell everyone how much it means to him and to Heidi that we are lifting them up in prayer.

Let's keep praying folks.
