I read about a guy in the U.S. who chopped his foot off after a motorcycle accident so he could get an insurance settlement.

Of course the doctors can tell the difference between an accidental amputation versus a clean cut, so he got charged with insurance fraud.

Would this be a tryout for the next "Saw" movie?

I was worried it was a story about a guy going out and getting drunk, then waking up next to Nancy Grace, and having to saw off his foot to escape without waking her.
