General Discussion?

Have you considered a General Discussion section?
I know that these can be harder to moderate, and as of now you seem to be the only moderator so I am sure it could get quite taxing.
this board is growing fast it would seem. The registered membership has more than doubled since I joined. A general discussion always seems to be a good place to get to know more about our fellow members.
By the way. Thanks for the invite to join. This is turning into one of my favorite boards.

Obviously, I took your suggestion. Thanks again.

Yes I did see that. I noticed that it is General "gun" discussion. You might want to put in the sticky that all posts must be gun related. Unless you had other intentions.
Again, I can't thank you enough for all the work your doing.

So under this general discussion, does it just apply to gun related posts or can it be just "general" per say?

The General Gun, Shooting & Equipment Discussion Section is intended for general gun, shooting and equipment related discussions that do not relate to CHL issues. If it is reasonably related to shooting, but not specifically to CHL, then it belongs there. We don't have a general discussion forum unrelated to guns, equipment and shooting.

Chas.

Gotcha. Is a general discussion forum unrelated to guns, equipment and shooting in the works?

Not at this point. The forum was launched on 12/22/04 and everyone has been great; I have not had to edit or delete a single post! I fear a true "general" section is so much of a free-for-all that a great deal of moderation will be required. My schedule just wouldn't allow that, plus it would change the character of TexasCHLforum.
Regards,
Chas.

Understood.
