Yu looked like he was playing a video game last night. . . bending the ball any direction he wanted!

It was satisfying to see the Yankees look so baffled and helpless!

Rubber match tonight to hopefully keep the winning-series streak alive for the young season. . .

GO RANGERS!

I grew up a Yankee fan in the days of DiMaggio, Mantle, Berra, Rizzuto, Ford, Bauer, Maris, etc. ( I could go on, but I won't) My dad used to get seats right behind the announcers booth, as he was friends with Jim Woods who was Mel Allen's counterpart at the time. Great seats! So, when it was the occasional weekend I got to see him, it was pure heaven for me. That said, I was a hardcore Yankee fan until I left NYC at age 20 in 1962. Over the years I wasn't really a fan of any team, as we moved a lot, until we moved back to Texas in 1991. I got into the Rangers back then, and have followed them since, becoming as hardcore a Ranger fan as I was a Yankee fan. Maybe more so. I despise the modern Yankees. They are arrogant, and have no humility. In my day, when Mickey hit a homer, he ran the bases with his head down, and no celebration. Yogi was as "down home" as one could get. I remember when Mantle signed for $100k per season. It was an astonishing amount! The Rangers today, are a lot closer to the old Yankees, then the Yankees themselves are today.
