Holster for vehicle

For my business I drive a 1997 Ford E250 Super Van. I'd like to be able to securely holster my 1911 (Kimber Stainless II) in an easy to reach yet hidden from passengers position. I've thought about mounting a holster to the side of the console but I'm not sure 1) what holster to use and 2) how to go about mounting it.

FYI, my passengers are wheelchair bound patients and, occasionally, their family or caretakers.

Anyone have any suggestions?

With most consoles, there's no wires/cables or anything to worry about, so don't worry about just drilling right in..I'd just use some washers to make sure the weight is a little more distributed on the holster so it doesn't tear itself out of the side of the console.

Regarding the holster itself, DIY kydex with some holes drilled for screws would probably be cheap and easy.

Academy sells cheap universal nylon holsters with an optional thumb break. I've used one before to mount under my truck seat.

I've got one of these Crossbreed Ohai Modular holsters for my M&P that mount anywhere that you can stick Velcro.
