They’re looking for adults 28 to 49.
They’ve expanded their search to include adults in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah,
Texas, Colorado, and some areas of Washington state.
They want adults who…
- were in Scouts as youth
aren’t BSA employees
aren’t Eagle Scouts (not a requirement, but they’d prefer adults who aren’t Eagles)
Current volunteers are eligible to be selected!
Know that time is of the essence. The deadline is Monday, April 16, so don’t delay!
I'm too young and I am an Eagle Scout, but maybe someone of y'all are eligible.

I went up as far as a Webelo when I was young. I'm not 28 though. Not for 1 more year! (Thank God)

I made it up to Tenderfoot in the Scouts all the way from being a basic cub scout. And I'm 28... Hmm... I like camping but I'm pretty sure my ability to tie knots is below par.

31 and Life Scout here. . . I'm in their wheelhouse.
The thing is: I have a wife, four kids, a dog, and a job. . . and I don't think I'll be leaving any of those to be the next Omarosa.

I know that at 65 I may be more cunning than a Boy Scout but, I can't keep up with them any more. I was a Star Scout before I began scouting for girls!

For some reason, we thought we were a pretty tough troop of Boy Scouts. (Never tested.)
I made Eagle, but I could probably hook them up with several reasonably tough characters who were in Scouts with me and who are not Eagles.
I don't know what they consider tough. (Maybe I should read the link?) Not sure if they're going to beat each other with sticks or see who can survive in the woods.
Here's a sampling, circa 1986:

I'm the one who couldn't afford a shirt.
All of these guys are now much larger than me. (Though I am a wee bit larger around the middle than I was back then and no longer go out in public without a shirt.)
I can contact any or all of them. Just let me know. I think all of them topped out at Star or Life.
I'd bet on any of them surviving in the wilderness under less than ideal conditions.
But if they thought I volunteered them, I might get to find out how tough I am because they'll probably want to kick my backside.
