Both MrsDoc and I carry Ruger LC9's with CT lasers, but we're going to try a couple of different Kahr's.

I ordered a new CM9 and a CW9 from Bud's tonight.

We'll see how those work for us.

Due to the position of the mag releases, we're both dropping mag's mid-string.

And you know what they say, "The loudest sound in the world is 'CLICK' during a gunfight".

I had a PM40 for a while a year or so ago, and it shot very well. It was just a little too thick for my SmartCarry system.

We'll see how the CM9 carries.

I have owned a PM9 with nite sights now for a about 1.5 years and have never had an issue with it except while using the extra supplied 7 round magazine that now just sits on a book shelf.
Use the standard 6 round magazines and they will run great.
Have fired many brands of fmj as well as jhp and have never once had a FTF or FTE.

Suggestion...These are really tightly built guns and I strongly suggest you clean and lube it before use and rack the slide a couple of hundred times before use.

What he said, although I never had any issues with my 7 round mag with my PM9. My wife's CW9 has been dead reliable from the first round fired. I've never handled one of the .40 cal Kahrs, but I do have a CW45, and it is noticeably wider than the 9mm guns. Also, I don't own a Smart Carry, but I can tell you that the PM9 simply vanishes, whether I'm carrying it in a front pocket or in a Mitch Rosen OWB belt slide.

The CM9 comes with only one 6-round mag. Instead of buying an additional 7-round mag, which I have heard to be unreliable, I bought an 8-rounder. Some have reported trouble with their spare mags dropping rounds in their pockets if they don;t carry the mag in a pouch. I haven't had that issue myself. My first 220 round break in session was uneventful. After about 125 rounds, the trigger began to fail to reset all the way. A quick cleaning fixed that issue and the rest of the session was flawless. I've owned a K40 since 1996, and that gun has been extremely reliable. So far, I see nothing to indicate that my CM9 is of any lesser quality.

You won't have the mag dropping free problem like you are having with the LC9s. I have a pair of CM9s and neither the 6 or 7 round mags drop free and I like that. I pocket carry mine and I've had the mag releases get accidently pushed with all others autos I have tried except for these CM9s. They are good reliable guns and I haven't had a problem with the 7rd mags either.
